Ramón Boekhoff Head of Capital Markets - Private Office

Within Momentum Capital, Ramón Boekhoff focuses on both existing and potential investors in the higher segment.

In 1987, Ramón started his career as Stock specialist with Mandersloot & De Bruijn, a stockbroker at the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. From 1990 onwards, he made the listings in the Midcap funds Koninklijke Sphinx and Dutch State Mines (DSM). The latter transferred to an AEX listing. In 1991, Ramón became a partner at Mandersloot & De Bruijn, and in 1993 was given final responsibility for the marketability of shares in Royal Dutch Shell. He also took these shares to international marketability on Wall Street, in collaboration with commercial banks such as Kleinwort Benson, Merrill Lynch, SG Warburg & Co (now part of USB) and Prudential Financial Bache.

At the instruction of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, McKinsey audited the trading system at the Stock Exchange. The results prompted the introduction of the digital trading platform in 1994. This change resulted in the sale of Mandersloot & De Bruijn to the trading firm Van der Moolen, then a listed company.

Subsequently, Ramón passed the test for the Remisier B license and set up an independent asset management office in Limmen (NH). His office quickly grew to 5 FTEs and some 50 million euros in  assets under management. The office also benefited from trading in investment funds in its own name. In the late 1990s, the asset management office acquired a significant interest in an insurance office and a real estate agent. Ramón sold his company on 1 July 2000, though he remains involved as a partner.
