Erik Huis is responsible for managing the Technology participations and the division’s overall development. He is also CEO of Clean Electricity Generation, a joint venture between TEM Capital of Boston (16.67%) and a Momentum Capital group company (83.33%) .

Erik began his career in 1984 in Dubai as Area Manager Middle East and North Africa for Wavin Repox BV, a Shell/WMO joint venture manufacturing innovative composite pipes for the energy industry. In 1988 Erik became Director of Global Marketing & Sales in the corporate headquarters in the Netherlands.

In 1989, Erik joined General Electric Plastics as manager Business Development Eastern Europe, operating from both Vienna and Moscow. Erik joined General Electric International in early 1990 as manager of the Business Restructuring team Eastern Europe, assisting all GE operating companies in the region to reorganize, adjust and strategically expand their business activities.

In his years with GE, Erik also coached a few young Russian entrepreneurs, which led to the foundation of Alfa Group, today one of the Russian Federation’s strongest conglomerates, with activities in banking (Alfa Bank, Russia’s largest private bank), oil & gas (TNK-BP) and telecommunications (Vimpelcom).

In 1992, Erik joined Synbra BV, a Shell-Ten Cate joint venture, as Managing Director of its packaging division. The main focus was to forge a string of independent factories and sales organizations in Western Europe into a solid and streamlined division.

In 1996, Erik was involved in the acquisition of his former employer Wavin Repox BV, which had then come on the market, along with its Dubai-based licensee, Future Pipe Industries. Ultimately, this put Erik on the board of the Future Pipe Group. During Erik’s tenure with the group (until 2008), the company expanded from 3 to 10 plants in the Middle East, Europe and the USA.

In 2008, a private investment company that had already been established in 2005 was used as a vehicle to develop a number of activities. These activities included establishing joint venture company Lighthouse Oil & Gas Moscow in 2008, a consultancy for suppliers to the oil & gas sector in the Russian market. In 2011, a non-controlling participation in Bemberg S.r.l. Milano, Italy, was acquired, an intermediation and representation firm in the oil & gas sector. Erik serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
